Just in time for the cocktail party, my potato and I finally got around to painting the stairs, our longstanding painting project as mentioned here.
BEFORE:
The stairs started off as a dusty rose color that was not only unflattering , but made the stairway look dark and a bit dreary.

First we painted all the stairs a semi-gloss white to cover the previous color and create a clean base.

AFTER:
The final step was to paint the underside of some the stairs using the same semi-gloss paint colors we used for our walls.

Voila! I love the cheeriness it brings to our entrance. What do you think?
